A no-fee public primary school rooted in our community since 1989. We teach in Setswana and English, walk alongside 447 learners, and believe a steady classroom can change a child’s life.
We are a public primary school in Ndebele Village, Klipgat C, on the western edge of Mabopane in North West Province. Most of our families live within walking distance of the school gate; many have sent two or three generations of children through our classrooms.
Marang serves 447 learners across Grade R to Grade 7, taught by 17 educators. We are a Quintile 1 No-Fee school under Section 21, registered with the Bojanala District Office. Our medium of instruction is English from Grade 4, with Setswana as Home Language and as the language of comfort throughout the day.
We are not a wealthy school. Our classrooms have plain walls, our jerseys are donated, and our library shelves are still being filled book by book. What we do have is staff who stay, parents who show up, and a long memory of children who walked these gates and went on to do well. That, more than anything else, is what we offer the next child who arrives.

Event
Eighty-six new five-year-olds joined our Grade R class on the first day of term. Parents stayed for tea, the SGB chair welcomed each family, and our Foundation Phase team prepared name tags by hand the night before.
Achievement
Karabo, Tlotlo and Lerato finished in the top ten across 42 schools. Coach Ms. Mokoena ran the after-school spelling club from her own classroom every Wednesday for ten weeks.
Community
A small group of parents, Mr. Sekhukhune and the Grade 4 class spent four Saturdays turning the strip of land along the eastern fence into a working garden. The first harvest went straight into Monday’s lunch.
